Ensuring Product Quality
We treat your shipment with the greatest of care. We specially package and ship your gift so that it will arrive in perfect condition. Please review the shipping terms and policies below to understand your responsibilities in ensuring the best possible experience.
Shipping
Our chocolates are shipped from Love + Chocolate, 1397 N. Main Street, Walnut Creek, California by USPS or UPS to any destination in the US except Alaska and Hawaii. We cannot ship to APOs, FPOs, Alaska, Hawaii, or foreign addresses. We are not responsible for damages, losses or delays caused by USPS, UPS or customer negligence - please refer to www.USPS.com or www.UPS.com to review their shipping terms and damages information.
Love + Chocolate is not responsible for the product after it has been handed over to the carrier (USPS or UPS). We have absolutely no control over the delivery process once your order has been dropped off at the post office or UPS store. The customer is responsible for ensuring timely receipt of the product and mitigating any weather, theft, physical or other damages at the destination. The customer should make sure that someone will be available to receive the package at the time of delivery. Please also consider the weather at your order’s destination when choosing shipping options.
Order processing
We do our best to process orders in a timely manner, but please allow us at least 24 hours for processing. To ensure your product arrives in the best condition we only process shipments Monday through Thursday and avoid weekend deliveries. We cannot guarantee Monday deliveries on any order. We may elect to require a signature for delivery and hold the shipment if there is a chance of heat damage.

Shipping in Summer Months and to Warm Weather Destinations
We strongly encourage you to check the weather for the area of your packages destination before ordering. When the outside temperatures exceed 75 degrees, we will use thermal envelopes and frozen gel packs to ship your chocolate orders. However, when the temperature is 90 degrees or above, we reserve the right to hold an order until the weather becomes more chocolate friendly. While we do our best to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition, we are not responsible for heat damage during shipment, and/or if the recipient is not present at the time of the delivery. If you would be interested in next day shipping, please call us at 925-932-6666 in order to calculate your overnight shipping fee.
Incorrect Address Fee
Please review your addresses carefully before submitting - we will charge an additional shipping free to reship an order for incorrect addresses.
Love + Chocolate Satisfaction Guarantee
If for any reason your order does not meet with your satisfaction, contact us by email and enclose pictures for a prompt, courteous response. However, we cannot replace a shipment when the damage is caused by the carrier (USPS or UPS) or if the shipment was damaged after arrival, or if USPS or UPS did not deliver on time/perform as contracted.
Holiday Shipping
Delays with many shipping carriers can occur during holiday seasons. Please take this into consideration and plan ahead to ensure your shipments arrive on time. During holidays like Christmas and Valentines, USPS and UPS may extend their ground shipping times and we cannot guarantee their on-time performance. We are also subject to Force Majeure and are not responsible for issues that the shipping company may face. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
